Sometimes hearing loss comes gradually with age, or in Carolyn Ponder’s case, hearing loss can be dealt with their whole life. Carolyn has avoided the phone for years... she grew up with a hearing loss and has never been able to make phone calls independently. When she was introduced to Sprint CapTel a couple of years ago, her life changed. She doesn't shy away from the phone anymore and when it rings, she says "I'll get it!"
Does this hit home for you? Do you shy away from answering the phone because you aren't sure you are going to understand what the other person is saying due to a hearing loss? Let us introduce you to Sprint CapTel so you can join Carolyn and say "I'll get it!" the next time your phone rings!
FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS ANYONE BUT REGISTERED USERS WITH HEARING LOSS FROM USING INTERNET PROTOCOL (IP) CAPTIONED TELEPHONES WITH THE CAPTIONS TURNED ON. IP Captioned Telephone Service may use a live operator. The operator generates captions of what the other party to the call says. These captions are then sent to your phone. There is a cost for each minute of captions generated, paid from a federally administered fund. No cost is passed on to the CapTel user for using the service. (v5.4 7-18)
